9 Days Western Uganda safari.

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our professional guide from Twende Expeditions will meet you and transfer you to Central Inn Entebbe for an overnight stay. (B.B)

Early morning, after breakfast our safari guide will pick you from your hotel then brief you about your 9 days western Uganda safari and drive to Kibale National park. Kibale forest is the best place to see habituated chimpanzees in Uganda.  Then take an evening nature walk in Bigodi swamp expect to see different bird species like the great blue turaco, red-tailed, L’hoests, vervet and other primates within an area. Dinner and overnight at Kibale forest camp (B.L.D)

After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzees. At 8:00 am you will join the Rangers in search for the habituated chimpanzees, expect to see other primates including; Grey Cheeked Mangabey, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and Baboons. Then spend an hour taking pictures of the chimps. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Kibale forest camp (B.L.D)

After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth, check into Simba safari Camp for lunch. And then enjoy an evening game drive at kasenyi sector the North of Queen Elizabeth national park expect to see lions, hippos, elephants, spotted hyenas, and warthogs. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp (B.L.D)

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive expect to see a variety of animals as they arise. Then return to the lodge relax and have lunch. You will have a 2 hours rewarding boat cruise on Kazinga channel in the evening. While on the boat at Kazinga channel, expect to see hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of bird species along the water banks. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp (B.L.D)

On the 6th day of the 9 Days western Uganda safari you will depart from Queen Elizabeth via Ishasha sector the southern part famous for its tree-climbing lions. Therefore look out for the tree climbing lions in the acacia trees. Then check in your lodge for dinner and overnight at Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge. (B.L.D)

After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about mountain gorilla trekking. Then join the rangers for this exciting adventure with the mountain gorillas as you trek into the impenetrable forest. You will spend an hour observing and also taking pictures of the gorillas. Then in the evening, you will visit the Batwa pygmies in their new communities. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge. (B.L.D)

After breakfast, check out of your lodge bid farewell to the Switzerland of Uganda as you drive to Lake Mburo. Expect to see some wildlife as you get into the park. Then enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo, expect to see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird species in the papyrus swamp. Have a short game drive to spot buffaloes, zebras, Topis, waterbucks and giraffes as you exit the park. Then check in your lodge for dinner and overnight at Eagle’s nest (B.L.D)

Today is the final day of the 9 Days western Uganda safari. After breakfast, accompanied by an armed ranger you will walk in the park to see impalas, topis, and zebras.  Lake Mburo national park is the only park where one can do a walking Safari. Then return to the lodge refresh, check out and drive back to Entebbe via Kampala city for a shopping spree at the craft market. Then make it to the airport in time to catch your flight back home.
