Tour Details of the 5 Days Uganda gorilla-chimpanzee Tour

The 5 Days Uganda gorilla-chimpanzee  primate tour takes you through some of the breathtaking endowed attractions of the pearl of Africa.

Therefore, trek mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest home to many of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas; who feed on roots, leaves, and fruits from the park’s many tree and fern species.

Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered gorilla families. Track chimpanzees in Kibale national park Uganda’s most beautiful tropical rainforest in Kabarole district in western Uganda. The forest covers 795 square kilometers.

The forest is habitat for some wildlife species among which includes 13 different primate species such as famous chimpanzees and endemic Uganda Mangabey.

Detailed Itinerary of the 5 Days Uganda gorilla-chimpanzee Tour

Day 1Arrival and transfer to your lodge.

Upon your arrival at the Airport, you will meet our guide from Twende Expeditions who will then transfer you to your lodge for the overnight stay at Central inn. (B.B)

Day 2Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Your driver guide will pick you up from your lodge and brief you about the Uganda primate safari then drive to Bwindi. You will Stop at the equator to take photos then proceed to Mbarara town for lunch. After that drive through the rolling terraced hills of the beautiful countryside to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Furthermore, the impenetrable forest is a birders paradise to spot over 350 bird species. Check in your lodge for dinner and overnight at Lake Mulehe Safri Lodge. (BLD)

Day 3Gorilla trekking

Today will be the highlight of our 5 Days Uganda gorilla-chimpanzeetour. Have an early breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking by the park wardens.  At 8:00 am you will set out into the forest in groups led by park guides and rangers as you look for these primates. The movements of the gorillas determine the trekking duration. However, on finding them, you will spend an hour taking photographs as well as observing their fantastic way of life. Then in the evening visit the Batwa pygmies and listen to their fantastic lifestyle after being evicted from the forest. Then after the gorilla tour, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Lake Mulehe Safri Lodge. (BLD)

Day 4Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast transfer to Kibale forest National Park famous for Chimp trekking. Along the way, you will marvel at the beautiful scenery that includes terraced rolling hills and traditional homesteads. Check into your lodge then take a nature walk to  Bigodi swamp to spot wild chimpanzees, monkeys and a variety of bird species. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Kibale forest camp. (B.L.D)

 Day 5Chimpanzee Tracking-Departure.

Early after breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about the chimpanzees and trekking rules. Rally behind the park ranger as you walk in search of the chimpanzees. You will see a variety of bird species as well as monkey species. Spend an hour observing the chimpanzees in their natural habitat as you take photographs and videos. Finally, bid farewell to the home of chimpanzees and drive back to Kampala.
