Tour Details of the 4 Days Gorilla Trekking

Trek the giant species on your 4 Days Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park on this safari. Gorilla trekking in Uganda is the only experience where you get very close to the gorillas in their natural habitat. If you have read the reviews, you know this is one of the best activities to do in Uganda, Rwanda and the DRC.

The forest park is home to nearly half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National park is located in SouthWestern Uganda along the Democratic Republic of Congo. Gorilla trekking in Uganda requires you to climb to a high altitude. Come prepared to test your fitness.

The sight of these peaceful giants will amaze you as you spend an hour observing them and taking pictures. Surely gorilla trekking in uganda is worth it. After the Batwa pygmies were evicted from the forest, the park became a popular tourist destination in 1993 with Gorilla trekking as the main tourist activity. Upon your arrival in Entebbe international Airport meet the Twende representative who will transfer you for an overnight stay at Hotel Protea B.B.

Day 2Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest park

Meet the tour guide at the hotel who will brief you about the 4 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda. Drive southwestwards with a stopover at the equator line in Kayabwe. After a few minutes of water experiment and pictures, continue with the journey.

The drive takes 9-10 hours through the beautiful countryside with lunch en route. Arrive in the evening and check in for dinner and overnight at Haven Lodge Buhoma. (BLD)

Day 3 Gorilla trekking activity / Evening visit to the Batwa community

The trek is the highlight of the 4 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda. With packed water and lunch drive to the park headquarters early at 7:00 am for a pre-trekking briefing. With walking sticks and porters the gorilla trekking adventure will begin at 8:00 am led in groups by armed park guides and rangers. Follow on foot behind the trained and experienced rangers as the park can only be accessed on foot. Gorillas are active from 6 am to 6 pm and most of these hours are spent eating as big quantities of food are needed to sustain their huge body.
Encounter these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Spend an hour taking photographs and videos as well as observing their fantastic way of life. Later return to your Lodge and take lunch and relax. In the evening visit the Batwa pygmies for a cultural experience. The Batwa were forest people who were evicted from the forest and resettled out of the park. Enjoy their dances and songs and later Dinner and overnight at Haven Lodge Buhoma. (BLD)
