Upon your arrival in Entebbe international Airport meet the Twende representative who will transfer you for an overnight stay at Hotel Protea B.B.
Meet the tour guide at the hotel who will brief you about the 4 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda. Drive southwestwards with a stopover at the equator line in Kayabwe. After a few minutes of water experiment and pictures, continue with the journey.
The drive takes 9-10 hours through the beautiful countryside with lunch en route. Arrive in the evening and check in for dinner and overnight at Haven Lodge Buhoma. (BLD)
The trek is the highlight of the 4 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda. With packed water and lunch drive to the park headquarters early at 7:00 am for a pre-trekking briefing. With walking sticks and porters the gorilla trekking adventure will begin at 8:00 am led in groups by armed park guides and rangers. Follow on foot behind the trained and experienced rangers as the park can only be accessed on foot. Gorillas are active from 6 am to 6 pm and most of these hours are spent eating as big quantities of food are needed to sustain their huge body.
Encounter these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Spend an hour taking photographs and videos as well as observing their fantastic way of life. Later return to your Lodge and take lunch and relax. In the evening visit the Batwa pygmies for a cultural experience. The Batwa were forest people who were evicted from the forest and resettled out of the park. Enjoy their dances and songs and later Dinner and overnight at Haven Lodge Buhoma. (BLD)
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and then drive back to Entebbe International Airport with lunch en route. Pass by Buganda road at the African market for a shopping spree and finally transfer to the Airport to catch your flight home.
