Day 1: Kampala – Mgahinga Gorilla national park

Our safari guide will pick you from the place of residence in Kampala and drive you to Mgahinga in Kisoro. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight at Traveler’s rest Kisoro

Day 2: Gorilla trekking

Have breakfast then go to the park briefing area for gorilla trekking guidelines. After briefing join the park ranger in search for the mountain gorillas. On finding them, you will spend an hour observing, taking photographs and video of these amazing gentle giants. Then return to the briefing area for lunch and later return to the lodge and relax the entire evening. Then dinner and overnight at Traveler’s rest Kisoro

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking

After an early morning breakfast then drive to Mgahinga briefing area for guidelines about golden monkey tracking. With the guidance of the rangers, you will also hike the volcanic terrain covered with dense bamboo forest in search of the golden monkeys. Then in the evening, you will go for the Batwa pygmies trail. Interact with the Batwa as they showcase their unique culture and also learn about the herbal medicines they use. These were basically hunters and gatherers who depended on the forest for shelter, medicine, and food. Also, visit the Sacred Garama cave which was the spiritual and cultural site. The revenue generated from this activity directly benefits this Batwa pygmies community. Then check into your lodge for dinner and overnight at Traveler’s rest Kisoro (B.L.D)

Day 4: Departure

After breakfast at the lodge, then bid farewell to the land of mountain gorillas as you drive back to Kampala.
