Rwanda Gorilla Price Increase.
Rwanda Gorilla Price Increase. Rwanda gorilla permit price has increased from $750 to $ 1500. This was announced by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB). This price change is effective this May 2017. The increase will not affect tourists who had already purchased their permits at the time of the announcement.
RDB has introduced a new exclusive package for tourists who wish to book an entire gorilla family. The package will cost $15,000 inclusive of a personalized tour guide service.
Tourists who also visit other national parks for a minimum of 3 days in addition to gorilla trekking will receive a 30% discount. Conference tourists who stay pre or post conference dates to see gorillas will be eligible for a 15% discount. The increase in a gorilla permit price is to strengthen conservation efforts and contribute to the development of communities staying near the Volcanoes national park.
On the other hand Uganda‘s gorilla permit price remains unchanged at USD $600 per permit for the Non Resident. These endangered mountain gorillas are trekked in Bwindi impenetrable and Mgahinga Gorilla national park.
