Primate lodge Kibale-Uganda.

Primate lodge Kibale-Uganda situated within the park boundaries of Kibale national park is constructed using the local material as a means to conserve the environment. Kibale national park is home to 13 primate species and a variety of bird species. The lodge has 16 categories of rooms; 9 luxury, six standard cottages, and one banda. Also, the lodge also has a sky tree house and campsite.

Categories of Cottages at Primate lodge Kibale-Uganda

The Primate lodge Kibale-Uganda luxury cottages are grass thatched roofs each room with 7 feet long king size bed, electronic safes, classic wardrobe, two comfortable lounge style arm chairs and luggage rack. Each of the luxury cottages also has a private veranda and en-suite spacious colored bathroom with a big cubicle and hand wash basin with hot, and cold water.

Standard cottages

Standard cottages have private en-suite cottages with well-furnished bedrooms and bathrooms. The bathroom has both hot and cold showers; as well as hand washes basins. However, each room has a private veranda that offers beautiful views of the surrounding rainforest and primates. Since the lodge is in the jungle, different monkey species usually visit the place.

Sky tree house

The Primate lodge Kibale-Uganda also has a private sky tree house situated 200 meters deep in the forest. The sky tree house is set on a celtis tree standing at 10 meters high. The location of this sky tree house offers clients a beautiful view of the forest canopy. The visitor will be able to see monkeys, forest elephants and also chimpanzees. The tree house accommodates up to two (2) people.

Family cottage

The family cottage also has two (2) separate adjoining cottages with en-suite rooms; one of the rooms has a double bed, and the other has a twin bed. The two (2) cottages have an interconnecting door for family use.

Honeymoon cottages.

Honeymoon cottages. This a double storied elephant banda with an upstairs bedroom; with also an elevated thatched wooden veranda that stretches to the forest canopy. The ground room is en-suite with a spacious living room and separate shower rooms and lavatory.

Campsite in Primate lodge Kibale-Uganda

The Primate lodge Kibale-Uganda also has a well-maintained campsite; with shared washing facilities available for guests who wish to camp with their own tents.

The Primate lodge Kibale restaurant serves both International and traditional African dishes and a well-stocked bar.

Since Primate lodge Kibale-Uganda is in the park, then visitors have easy access to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking experience. Other activities that a visitor can enjoy while staying at Primate Lodge Kibale include; chimpanzee habituation experience, birding, nocturnal walk and Bigodi swamp walk.
