3 Days Masai Mara wildlife safari
Masai Mara game reserve is found in Narok county in Kenya and its known for its remarkable population of the cats like the lions, cheetahs and leopards; and the best place for a Kenya safari holiday. It is also known for the annual wild beast, zebra and Gazelle migration from the plains of Serengeti that cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara’s grasslands from late June. These are tracked by predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and circled by vultures as the journey unfolds. Apart from the seasonal migration, game viewing is excellent all year round with wild game like; elephants, Black Rhinos, buffalos, wildebeests, Burchell’s zebras, hartebeests, various antelopes and gazelles, lions, leopards, giraffes, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles and much more.
Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara national reserve
In the morning our driver guide will pick you from your hotel in Nairobi, for the Masai Mara safari. Drive via the Great rift valley ascending through the western rim of the valley crossing Loita plains. As you approach the reserve, look out for various game along the road. Have lunch at the lodge and later proceed for an evening game drive to see the big five. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full day in Masai Mara
You will have both the morning and evening game drive. During the game drives you will spot various wild game that inhabit the reserve such as wildebeest, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras among others. You will also drive to the hippo point to see hippos and crocodiles. If time allows you will visit the masai village to learn more about their culture. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure- Nairobi
After break fast you will drive back to Nairobi. Then transfer to the airport depending on your flight schedule to catch your flight back home.
