The trek is guided by trained park rangers and guides whom without them, it would be difficult to trek. You will come face-to-face with these amazing peaceful giants; and spend an hour observing them and taking pictures.

3 Days Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Safari detailed Itinerary;

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable

Our driver will meet you at your residence in the morning; and then brief you about  the 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trek Safari . You will then drive southwest to Bwindi forest.

Stop at the equator line in Kayabwe for the water experiment so as to differentiate between the northern and southern hemisphere. You will then take photos and after drive to Mbarara town; the home of the long horned Ankole cattle so as to get lunch. Then drive through the rolling hills of the beautiful country side to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park.

This impenetrable forest is also a birders’ paradise with over 350 bird species. Check in your lodge for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp (B.L.D)

Day 2: Gorilla trekking activity

Today will be the highlight of our 3 days gorilla tracking Bwindi Safari. After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing by the park wardens about this experience. At 8:00 am you will set out into the forest in groups led by park guides and rangers. The  duration of your search is determined by the movements of the gorillas.

Mountain gorillas are herbivores. They are active between 6:00 Am and 6:00 pm. They spend most of these hours eating, as large quantities of food are needed to sustain their huge body. However on finding them you will spend an hour taking photographs, videos; as well as observing their amazing way of life.

In the evening visit the Batwa pygmies  for a cultural experience. Batwa pygmies are former forest people. These pygmies were evicted from the impenetrable forest. Then, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp (B.L.D)

Day 3: Return to Entebbe.

This is the final day of the 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Safari. Afterwards breakfast, check out of your lodge; and then drive back to Entebbe with lunch en route. So If time allows you will go on a craft shopping spree on Buganda road; then transfer to the Airport to catch your flight back home.
